de·bris
dəˈbrē,ˌdāˈbrē/
noun: the pieces that are left after something has been destroyed
:things (such as broken pieces and old objects) that are lying where they fell or that have been left somewhere because they are not wanted

There is beauty all around us.  Upon closer inspection something left behind to decay unfolds into its own expression of beauty.  I am drawn to color, shape, line- the emotional energy that arises as those forces come together.  I have grown accustomed to looking twice- first at the thing itself and then again (and again) at what lies beyond.

In my images I seek to uncover the beauty in those things that have been left behind- the paradox between beauty and decay.  My images are painterly in feel and seek to evoke the masterpiece within the debris.

Individual images are available upon request.
