In 1975 without experience or education I set up my first studio. With clay as my only teacher, I fell in love with the process of making, glazing and firing. Today my work vibrates between form and function. This gives me the opportunity to explore architecture, sculpture and utilitarian pottery. Surfaces challenge me to find an honest approach and understanding of my own daily rituals. I am influenced by the absolute joy of working with clay to express my sense of the beauty of function and the function of beauty.
